About Me: Leonard Collomb

I am a high school student with a passion for research and inquiry in Computational Linguistics

Welcome to Hardwired Eloquence! I’m Leonard, a computational linguist passionate about exploring how language and technology intersect, and given my trilingual background, how technology can facilitate intra-lingual communication. I enjoy working on a variety of NLP projects, particularly in speech processing and text-content processing. Currently, I’m collaborating with the UCLA SPAPL Lab to push the boundaries of what AI can do in understanding and processing human speech.

In my free time, you can find me playing tennis, analyzing movie interpretations, or relaxing with video games. As Co-president of my school’s Math and French Clubs, I love combining my leadership skills with my passion for mentoring. I frequently tutor students and share my love for both language and problem-solving. I’m also the Outreach Lead for Hyphen-Hacks 2024, which I am super excited about!

Through Hardwired Eloquence, I’ll share insights from my ongoing projects, break down key concepts in computational linguistics, and explore the fascinating relationship between language, AI, and society. Join me as I uncover new ways technology can reshape how we communicate!
