The image above was created using AI. More specifically, this was the third image generated by Stable Diffusion, when given the prompt “Computational Linguistics”.
Today is the golden age of Artificial Intelligence, marking the real commencement of the increased development of massively implicative inventions such as Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, ChatGPT, ChatBCG, and GSLM just to name a popular few from this year. It is thereby very important that we, as a human collective are up to date with the potential future of technology. Having watched movies like The Terminator and Blade Runner (as I’m sure you have as well), and even remembering the character TARS from Interstellar growing up really has fascinated me all life long with the idea that maybe one day we could create cognition and intuition without necessarily creating biological life. With the recent release of ChatGPT specifically, my passion for language– in both programming and communication senses has been riled up, pushing me to start a brand new blog focusing purely on Computational Linguistics (and its notable antics), which I’ve decided to name “Hardwired Eloquence” (more information about this in later blog posts). This is but the introductory first post of the blog; it is the embarkation on my journey in computational linguistics that I hope you can accompany me on. Stay tuned!
